Injection lipolysis is a procedure to remove local fat accumulation by giving specific substances to it. In my practice, I use the Aqualyx preparation.
Aqualyx is a solution without phosphatidylcholine, in which detergent are the main substances acting on the fatty cell (of the sodium deoxycholate type). The detergent dissolves fat and destroys the cell membrane – the adipocytolysis process takes place. The preparation causes the destruction of fat cells, which are transported to the liver and extracted from the body through the kidneys.
In contrast to commonly used solutions of phosphatidylcholine, the Aqualyx preparation is:
– painless and more effective,
– faster – fewer treatments necessary to obtain satisfactory results.
The treatment consists in the administration of the preparation to the fat tissue. The amount of the preparation is selected based on the amount of fat accumulation, treatment area and Patient’s expectations as to the final effect.
Before administration, the preparation is mixed with the anaesthetic, so that the treatment is completely painless and the discomfort in its course was as small as possible The preparation is given with a range method using a special needle. The treatment lasts about 20 minutes. After the procedure, one can return to normal daily activities.
After the treatment one will feel a slight itching, burning and tenderness of the treated area and these are the desired effects that indicate the effectiveness and effect of the administered solution.
Redness and swelling may be visible for the next few days after the procedure. The skin will be slightly painful and tender. This is a normal reaction of the body to the treatment – it disappears spontaneously.
The real effect after 1 treatment is the loss of 204 cm of the circumference at the site of administration. The procedure is usually performed in a series. A satisfactory reduction of unwanted body fat usually requires 304 treatments with an interval of 3-4 weeks. In the case of a small amount of adipose tissue, the effect can be achieved after 1-2 treatments.
The most frequently treated areas:
– upper limbs – near the triceps,
– folds on the back (fat rolls below the ribs),
– buttocs contouring (area below the buttocks),
– inner thighs,
– medial side of the knees,
– podwójny podbródek,
– male pseudogynecomastia,
– buffalo neck
The best results we can achieve in patients with appropriate weight or slight overweight with local fat accumulation. Especially in the case of local fat accumulation in such places as: hips, breeches, medial side of the knees, which are not reduced after exercises and diet.
